Very special serie of photographs, especially the one on which we see Sevruguin's shadow as he's busy taking his picture of the hangman leaving the scene while the crowd is still watching the hanging corpse. For two reasons the own prints of this creative photographer are hardly ever on the market: in the beginning of the 20th Century most of them were destroyed during political clashes and the ones rescued were gathered in public collections (esp. the one mentioned above)
